Dave Dobson & Rebecca Cosgrove
Dave and Rebecca, father and daughter, have worked together on housing issues since the first Housing Now March in Washington, DC in the mid 80’s. They are experienced Trip Leaders and team members. Between them have made 20 trips to the Gulf Coast to help rebuild homes in New Orleans and Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina. They have also assisted in post-disaster recovery efforts in a number of other areas including the Catskill region of NY, Sri Lanka, and the Adirondacks.
Dave served for a number of years as the Executive Director of a non-profit home repair organization in New York. They have both fairly recently become involved with one Small House but have already participated in builds in Haiti, Mexico and Mississippi. Dave currently serves on the Advisory Board and also functions as the Safety Director for OSH.
Dave is also active with his church as a trustee, a member of the Social Justice Committee and Chair of Buildings and Grounds. He has led a number of housing related mission trips for the church. He is a national responder for the American Red Cross. His main hobby is his family, followed by his TR6 and his dog, Peggy.

Rebecca runs a day program for young adults with developmental disabilities and recently completed her Masters in Public Administration at Marist College. She feels most fulfilled when she’s wearing a toolbelt, helping others to rebuild their lives. With her father as inspiration, her experiences doing rebuilding work in New Orleans and Haiti have been the most meaningful and galvanizing experiences of her life. She loves to recruit others to join her in these experiences. Her spare time is spent enjoying life with her fabulous husband, travelling, eating and seeing live music.
